Gifts for New Baby

I love any opportunity to go shopping for gifts for a new baby girl. I am a mom of two twin boys myself, so I think it is almost therapy to go out and buy all the pretty little things you can get for a girl. At this time in my life I feel like everyone is having a baby. Sometimes it is hard to keep coming up with new ideas for gifts.

With this in mind I have come up with a few ideas for interesting and creative gifts for new baby girl. When you select a gift for a new baby you want it to be practical but you also want it to be meaningful. You also don’t want to turn up with the same gift as everyone else! Here are my ideas for some excellent gifts for new baby girl.

1. Adorable Outfits

There are some gifts for new baby girl that you just can’t give to a boy. A dress for special occasion, tiny ballet flats or a tutu for dress ups. It’s probably because I dress my two boys all the time but girls clothes are much more fun than boys. I always take the opportunity to buy something really special, and of course pink.

2. Nursery Decorations

Most parents will tell you that their nursery never feels complete until they can place some gifts in it from the people they love. Gifts for new baby girl that can be used in the nursery will help make the room warm and welcoming for the new arrival. Some good ideas include linen for the baby cot, in soft shades of pink, lemon and lilac, picture frames and nightlights are also good ideas. Wall decors with themes like princesses or fairies always look great in any girl’s room.

3. Jewelry

A girl is never too young to start her jewelry collection. Some good jewelry gifts for new baby girl include an ID bracelet in gold or silver, a first pair of earrings or even a small locket with her date of birth engraved on it. When new baby gets older she will be able to keep the piece of jewelry as a keepsake.

4. Gift Baskets For Girls

Just like boys, girls need plenty of basics too. Why not help the new parents stock up by putting together a basket of essential items as gifts for new baby girl. Diapers, bottles, wipes and bibs will never go astray. Many of my friends say leggings are great for girls as they don’t restrict movement like some dresses and skirts can when baby is learning to crawl. Hairclips and bands are great for girls as well. Choose a girly color scheme like pink or lavender to make your basket look great.
